Telehandler Operator
Key Responsibilities
Telehandlers perform a range of duties that require precision and safety awareness. The primary responsibilities include:
- Must be able to operate a telehandler not just a forklift, these are two completely different pieces of equipment.
- Operating the telehandler machine to lift, move, and place various materials and objects.
- Ensuring the stability and security of loads before and during movement.
- Navigating work site safely, especially around other personnel and complex environments.
- Maintaining clear communication with other team members to coordinate movements and ensure safety.
- Conducting regular maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Complying with safety guidelines and regulations at all times to minimize risk of injury and accidents.
Tasks and Duties
Specific tasks associated with the operation of a Telehandler include:
- Inspecting the telehandler each day before use to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Loading and unloading tractor trailers
- Adjusting the equipment controls to accurately place loads at specified heights and distances.
- Reporting any malfunctions or irregularities in the equipment performance to supervisors.
- Following operational guides, manufacturer’s instructions, and safety manuals to operate the telehandler effectively.
- Experience in a related field or previous roles involving heavy machinery can be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction or industrial safety standards.
The role of a Telehandler is demanding but crucial in projects requiring precise material handling and placement. Ideal candidates are not only skilled operators but are also attentive to safety details, capable of decision-making under pressure, and function well within a team setting. As such, a blend of technical skills, certifications, and interpersonal abilities form the cornerstone of an effective Telehandler.
Hours of operation will be Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm, plus the occasional after hours as the company’s workload demands.

Drill Line Operator- DRL-336 BEAM LINE/ WF190 SAW
Job Description
- As a Drill Line Operator, you will be responsible for operating a DRL-336 and a WF 190 saw
- You must read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to carefully set up, select, position, secure, and operate production machinery under established procedures and guidelines
- The Machine Operator will accurately and timely adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications
- Hours: 7am to 4:00pm-Guaranteed 40 hrs. per week as long as you show up.
- Rigorously inspect materials before, during, and after processing to ensure quality control of the finished product
- Read and interpret written instructions from manufacturing work orders and cut-sheets
- Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
- Provides basic maintenance to the machine(s) to properly operate
- Prepare materials to be processed
- Run full diagnosis and treatment of faults and/or situations that affect the functioning of the designated machine
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Comply with Company and OHSA policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Knowledge and ability to distinguish different types of materials
- Knowledge of metal and basic shop fabrication equipment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to changes
- Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months’ experience operating DRL-336 or equivalent machinery
- Frequent prolonged standing, be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual agility, coordination, and stamina
